Semi-permanent make up by Jess Murley
What is microblading?
Microblading is a semi-permanent make up technique giving a natural and fuller look to the eyebrows.
Through careful mapping and colour matching, we will create the perfect eyebrow form and tone that personally compliments your unique face shape and features.
Using a handheld tool with fine needles, we scratch the surface of your skin to create fine hair-like strokes.
The results last anywhere between 1-2 years. You can have freshen up appointments every 8-12 months depending on your desired look.
How is it different from a normal tattoo?
The microblading technique deposits pigment into the upper region of the dermis, whereas traditional tattooing inserts ink much deeper. This pigment will fade over time as the skin renews itself.
The pigment used for microblading is created with metals and minerals that are completely safe for the skin, and designed to naturally be absorbed into the skin over time.
What is the reason for microblading being semi-permanent?
The treatment is semi-permanent because the dermis layer of the skin continuously renews itself. We form new layers of skin and as this happens the pigment is broken down and absorbed into the body.
This is a safe alternative to ink being permanently placed into the skin which over time will discolour and blur.
Is the procedure painful?
No. Microblading is at worst mildly uncomfortable so no need to worry.
